YUC’ATÅLOVE Enters a New Era, Redefining Destination Weddings in Yucatán

Falling in Love with Yucatán

On our recent FAM trip through the scenic areas of Izamal and Tixcocob, I participated in a journey that perfectly captured the heart of Yucatán. Our hosts were the newly launched YUC’ATÅL—formerly known as YucatanLove wedding planners specializing in destination weddings in Yucatan. They have now branched out to include luxury boutique experiences, proritizing sustainability and environmentaly responsibility and this three-day adventure was a masterpiece of thoughtful planning and cultural immersion.

Our stay at the beautiful Hacienda San Jose Cholul set the stage for a series of unforgettable experiences, featuring exquisite five-course lunches and dinners catered both at haciendas and at renowned spots like K’anche, Kinich in Izamal, and Pueblo Pibil in Tixcocob. Dining against stunning backdrops—from ancient fig trees embracing stone walls to the view of the majestic Maya pyramid Kinich Kak Moo—is one of the irresistible perks of exploring Yucatan.

We toured around Izamal to the emblematic places that make this town a Magical town of Mexico and were lucky enough visit the iconic 17th Century convent while the pilgrimage to see the black Jesus Christ on the cross was taking place, very interesting!

The 14 years of crafting high-end destination weddings in the Yucatan Penisula was felt in the thoughtful touches, like gifts celebrating Yucatán waiting in our rooms after each day’s exploration. This was trip an experience steeped in warmth and meticulous attention to detail—a journey not just into Yucatán’s landscapes, but into its very spirit.

Catching up with YUC’ATÅLOVE wedding planner founder, Luis Canul y Guerra

As founder Luis Canul y Guerra explains, YucatánLove is now expanding under the banner of YUC’ATÅL, a newly formed parent brand. This shift marks a transformative step for the company as it moves beyond weddings to offer diverse, immersive experiences for travelers looking to connect deeply with Yucatán’s heritage and landscape.

The reimagined brand will operate through four new verticals: Bloom, Mind, Flow, and Love. While YucatánLove will continue to focus on weddings under the Love vertical, the addition of these new pillars signals a broader vision for YUC’ATÅL, focused on sustainable tourism, wellness, and cultural immersion.

The New YUC’ATÅL: Four Pillars of Experiential Tourism

The new face of YUC’ATÅL will look something like this:

  • YUC’ATÅL BLOOM: This nature-focused section aims to inspire visitors to feel connected to the area’s landscapes and see themselves as part of the natural cycle. It’s all about offering experiences that help people understand local ecosystems and appreciate the importance of conservation.
  • YUC’ATÅL MIND: Here you’ll find experiences that dive into Yucatán’s rich history, from ancient Maya sites to colonial stories. This section invites visitors to explore the many layers of the region’s heritage, sparking curiosity and a deeper appreciation for its cultural roots.
  • YUC’ATÅL FLOW: Focused on well-being, YUC’ATÅL Flow invites guests to find mental, physical, and emotional balance through activities like yoga, meditation, and other holistic practices, guided by wellness professionals.
  • YUC’ATÅL LOVE: Anchored in YucatánLove’s legacy of luxury weddings, this romance-centered vertical preserves the brand’s dedication to crafting one-of-a-kind celebrations. Yet, it now brings an additional focus on sustainability and responsible travel, offering couples the opportunity to marry against the region’s stunning backdrops while respecting its ecosystems.

A Renewed Focus on Sustainability

The transition from YucatánLove to YUC’ATÅL comes with a heightened commitment to sustainability. With this evolution, the company promises that its events will not only showcase Yucatán’s natural beauty but will also protect it. By creating weddings and experiences that prioritize environmental responsibility, YUC’ATÅL is responding to a global trend toward eco-conscious tourism. Every celebration, particularly within the Love vertical, will now integrate sustainable practices that allow couples to celebrate their union in ways that are both elegant and respectful of the local environment.

Celebrations Beyond the Conventional

With the expansion into YUC’ATÅL, YucatánLove is redefining what a wedding celebration can be. Far from a typical wedding experience, YucatánLove aims to offer couples a transformative journey that connects them not only to each other but also to the beauty of the region. Holistic elements—such as wellness retreats and relaxation activities—are woven into each event, offering guests and couples a chance to reconnect with themselves and the present moment.

Innovation with Roots in Tradition

As YUC’ATÅL’s reputation for high-end, highly personalized events continues to grow, the company is gaining recognition on both local and international stages. YucatánLove was recently awarded Best Yucatecan Wedding Planner by México Desconocido in 2023 and was named among the top wedding planners in Mexico by Junebug Weddings and Frida Enamorada this year. Known for its ability to blend tradition with modern luxury, YucatánLove has consistently attracted couples from around the world, transforming Yucatán’s haciendas and historic sites into storybook settings.

Notably, the brand’s work includes a celebrated Hindu wedding that earned features in international wedding publications like Weddings & Honeymoons.

A Journey of Connection

YUC’ATÅL’s expansion marks a new era for YucatánLove as it balances its storied past with a future-oriented approach. With more than 205 couples from 25 countries entrusting YucatánLove with their celebrations, the brand remains committed to crafting unforgettable experiences. Now, YUC’ATÅL is ready to broaden its reach, offering immersive experiences that go beyond weddings, opening new avenues for travelers and guests alike to connect with Yucatán on a profound level.

As YucatánLove transforms into YUC’ATÅL, it invites those seeking unique, responsible, and deeply personal travel experiences to discover the heart of Yucatán.
