In the vibrant heart of Mérida, the Valladolid Craft Encounter is set to take place on the upcoming Friday, August 18th, and Saturday, August 19th. This event will immerse you in the captivating world of art and craftsmanship from the region.
The skill and passion of the artisans from Valladolid, Yucatan will come together in an exhibition of traditional crafts. This event is much more than a simple showcase; it’s an open window into the rich craft heritage that distinguishes Valladolid and is now coming to Mérida to enchant all visitors.
With the participation of 30 skilled artisans, the Valladolid Artisan Encounter will encompass a wide range of disciplines, from textiles to pottery, woodwork, honey, and lek, among others. Each artisan will have their own booth, where you can explore and closely admire the diverse array of products they offer, all infused with the soul and tradition of the Yucatán Peninsula.
The meeting place will be the iconic Calle 60, between Plaza Grande and the majestic Mérida Cathedral.
But that’s not all, you’ll also get to enjoy regional performances and exhibitions, brought specially by the municipality of Valladolid for the delight of all attendees. These cultural and artistic touches will add a distinctive flair to the event, offering a complete experience that goes beyond sight and touch.
