Casa Consciente: Merida’s Oasis for Conscious Consumption

Casa Consciente is Mérida’s newest center for like-minded people who value conscious consumerism, slow and fair trade fashion, jewelry and art. It is a lovely space inside a beautiful and ample house surrounded by trees, a pond and a beautiful thatched roofed structure used for meditation, cacao healing and yoga. There is an art studio, a small store that sells champagne and macaroons, and a vegetarian cafe Maria y Yo.  It’s a community center, a place to share ideas.
