The gallery on the second floor offers views to the south and into the skylit atrium, creating an airy space for both formal ceremonies and casual meetings.
The Consulate is built with sustainability in mind and is registered for LEED Gold certification. It features 350 kW of solar power, air-cooled chillers with heat recovery, efficient daylighting controls, and high-efficiency plumbing. Native vegetation and a greywater irrigation system reduce potable water use. The site itself is a remediated brownfield, showcasing a commitment to environmental responsibility.
Inside, a permanent art collection curated by the Office of Art in Embassies features paintings, textiles, photographs, and sculptures by both American and Mexican artists. These works highlight the shared values and rich cultural heritage of both nations, with several site-specific commissions created especially for this space.
