Explore Mérida on a Bike with the City’s Newest Bike rental: En Bici

June 14th 2023

If you’re looking for a fun and eco-friendly way to explore Mérida, the city has implemented a bike rental service reminiscent of major cities around the world. Now that Merida has bike paths throughout the city and drivers are getting used to sharing the road with peddlers, this is a perfect new initiative.  The new “En Bici” allows you to enjoy the city in a sustainable and healthy way! Just be sure to bring water, and sunblock up especially through the summer months because it tends to be a scorcher on the streets!

Operating Hours

During the first 3 months, the service will be available for free 24/7, 7 days a week.

How does En Bici work?

1.- Download the En Bici App which you will find on the signs at each station or you can copy from the photos below. Create your account

2.- Access your En Bici profile and activate Bluetooth.

3.- Select a bike at the nearest station by scanning the QR code on the bike. This will unlock the bike and you can start your journey.

4.- Once you’ve finished your ride, return the bike to the nearest station which you can also locate on the App.

Remember to always leave the bike inside a designated station, recognizable by the “E” on the app’s map, to avoid fines.

**The app is new so they will be continuing to update it and improve it with customer feedback. If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact the Facebook of : @AyuntaMERIDA or WhatsApp at +52 9993569197, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Download the En Bici App and start pedaling!
Scan the code with your mobile phone and download it.
