Merida Celebrates 482 Years with the Merida Fest January 5-24th 

It’s Merida’s 482nd anniversary and it will be a month filled with arts, culture, music, theater, dance and incredible vibes!

With the participation of around 550 artists from different countries, among whom Fey, Juan Pablo Manzanero, Gondwana, and Ricardo Ribeiro stand out, from the 5th to the 24th of January next year, the Mérida Fest 2024 will take place, featuring more than 150 artistic presentations across 30 venues, in celebration of the city’s 482nd anniversary.

The program will include representatives from Cuba, Canada, China, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Chile, the United States, and Costa Rica, coming together to enjoy abundant culture and socialize in public spaces.”

From January 5th to 24th, various free events will take place around the city for the whole family! 

The Mérida Fest 2024 will kick off on January 5th at 9pm (Palacio Municipal Calle 62 x 61 y 63) following tradition, with the customary street music parade and dawn celebration. During this event, dozens of troubadours sing the “Mañanitas” to the city at midnight. It’s an amazing display and super fun to see all the troubadours! 

This event is for the whole family and is scheduled to start from the Santa Lucía Park to the Bajos de Palacio Municipal.
