This Saturday and Sunday, August 19 and 20th from 1pm until 8pm Salon Gallos is hosting the first Consorcio Mejorada, a festival to showcase some of Yucatan’s top designers and creatives on the design scene in Merida, Yucatan. This upcoming biannual design experience will showcase designs where Mexican tradition intertwines with modern sophistication.
The venue Salón Gallos is set in the charm of a historic oatmeal factory that was founded in 1930 and is a multicultural hub that boasts an alternative cinema for cultured film goers, a bar, restaurant, art gallery, and music venue. The Consorcio Mejorada fest will be spread across the whole venue and will feature fashion designers, jewelry artisans, shoe makers, furniture creators and collectors all based in Yucatan. It’s a full-fledged immersive experience that embraces creativity from every angle.
Prepare for a weekend of music, cocktails, excellent food, fashion, interior designs and live performances by talented musicians. It’s a holistic celebration of art, design, and culture that’s an absolute must for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life.
