We’ve always loved La Bottega — that cozy-meets-classy Italian/Argentinian wine spot right near the Monumento a la Patria — for its killer wine list, chilled ambiance, and that melt-in-your-mouth tuna carpaccio. But now, there’s even more to love. The team behind this MID City favorite just opened up a brand-new Antojería Mexicana, and we are so here for it.
La Bottega Antojería: Mexican Street Eats, Done Right
Step just a few doors down from the original restaurant (and right next to Justo Café) and you’ll find La Bottega Antojería — a vibrant, laid-back taco spot with major personality. Think colorful papel picado, nostalgic images of María Félix, Cantinflas, and Catrines on the walls, plus Vicente Fernández videos playing loud and proud on the screen. It’s got that feel-good, Friday-night-in-Mexico energy — every day of the week.
On our recent visit, we tried:
- Rib tacos (juicy and flavorful)
- Chicken tacos (classic and satisfying)
- Torta de lechón (savory heaven)
- Fried onion rings (crispy + addictive)
- And an ice-cold agua de jamaica to wash it all down.
They’ve also got tortas, burgers, beer, and other casual faves that make it a perfect stop whether you’re bar-hopping, taco-craving, or just want to chill with friends near the heart of the city.
La Bottega Wine & Italian/Argentinian Restaurant
Back at the original La Bottega, the vibe is all about comfort with elegance. They’ve just added a long, sleek bar — INSIDER TIP: if you’ve been asking us for a cool bar to sip a great wine or local brew, this is your spot.
