Gabbo’s Bar and Grill & 2001 Cinema Alternativo is a small movie theater that has brought life back to the neighborhood of Itzimna! Downstairs is Gabbo’s restaurant with quite an extensive menu of Mexican food. They have a bar and a large outdoor area where you can hear live music starting at 9pm Wed-Saturday.

Upstairs to their cool and small movie theater where they have a great line-up of classic and unique movies.
The theater is great and it is also available to rent for parties with seating for about 20 people. Every Monday the new show schedule comes out. We post about daily movies and live music in this post (clic here) . All movies in English are subtitled not dubbed. They do have movies from Spain, Latin America or other countries and those will be in Spanish; however, if you ask them they will put on the English subtitles. It’s a fun place and definitely a spot to put in the list.
