Hacienda Xcanatun

Located just 25 minutes from downtown Mérida, Hacienda Xcanatun, Angsana Heritage Collection, is situated in a place where history and tradition converge. Restored to its 18th-century grandeur as one of Yucatán’s most iconic henequen (sisal) haciendas. The newly renovated pool area is amazing and the restaurant has excellent food and drinks. The Angsana spa at Xcanatun is also incredible and worth mentioning if you are staying for a Day Pass you could actually take advantage of their Spa Day Pass which includes regular day pass benefits and spa treatements! Angsana is a luxury experience that originates in Asia and therefore the Spa experience offers treatments from Eastern traditions, as well as products and aromatic massage oils sourced directly from Asia. It really is a lovely experience.

Hacienda Santa Cruz

Hacienda Santa Cruz is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of the Cuxtal Ecological Reserve. It’s all about conviviality, nature, and peace here, with a special focus on making sure guests feel comfortable and have their privacy. You’ll find lots of birds, lizards, and small mammals around. This hacienda Santa Cruz dates back to 1640 when it served as a monastery for Franciscan monks who lived in the oldest part of the hacienda, which is now called “the main house.”

It’s a lovely place to roam around and there are pools, a cenote pool, restaurant, hammocks, and a spa and water spa you can also take advantage of at an extra cost.

Kahal Boutique Hotel

Kahal Boutique Hotel is a beautiful family run hotel located on Merida’s iconic Paseo de Montejo. It’s relatively small with 12 rooms ranging from standard to master suites with private balconies, lounge chairs and jacuzzis. 

The original house was built at the end of the 19th century and many of the original features continue to be intact from the pasta tile floors to the archways. The design showcases Yucatan in all its color and glory with a photo gallery of its people, culture, land and cityscapes. 

The pool area is on the rooftop third floor and has an incredible view of Paseo de Montejo. The location is perfect for those staying in Centro of Merida. The pools are small dipping pools and they have nice lounge chairs as well. It’s small but nice to cool off and escape the daily routine.

Cenotes San Ignacio Ecological Park

Cenote San Ignacio is an ecotourism complex located 20 minutes from the Mérida city ring road, on the highway towards Campeche, in the municipality of Chocholá. It has a small underground cenote with shallow waters and an illuminated dome that you can enjoy both day and night! It’s the only cenote in Yucatan where you can have a night cenote experience. 

The Emerald River is an artificial canal with fresh water running through it. Flanked by walls of vegetation, the river has become the park’s icon. Visitors can swim, float on inner tubes, paddle a kayak, or enjoy a hydromassage under the waterfall. You’ll also find a hanging bridge, which lets you take in the views from up high and a zip line, where you’ll feel like you’re flying above everyone.

Also on the grounds is an incredible Xtabentún restaurant with traditional Yucatecan cuisine, cabañas if you would like an overnight stay and a large pool and lounging area. There is a lot of vegetation and a large area for kids to run around and play!

Hacienda San Antonio Millet

This stunning hacienda is located 23 kilometers from the city of Mérida and surrounded by lush nature. Hacienda San Antonio Millet is a luxurious space rich in tradition and history. Mul Chac” (Red Hill) was the name given by the Maya to this cattle breeding site in 1667, which later began to focus on the cultivation of henequen, much like many other areas in the state of Yucatán. The grounds are absolutely exquisite and you will be immersed in nature.  It’s an iconic hacienda in Yucatan and a perfect spot for a day or overnight escape from the city.

Option 1 Day Pass Cost $1500 per person and includes:

Rooftop with an incredible view of the north part of Merida, Camino Real is a five star hotel located on the top floors of the City 32 building. The pool area is on the rooftop and we love this day pass spot!

Day Pass Cost $500 ($400 can go towards consumption) and includes access to the incredible pool and towel. Bar and restaurant service are right by the pool. Lots of space for lounging in the sun and shade and enjoying a margarita while overlooking the jungles and buildings of the city of Merida.
