Sunset Beer Fest 2026 Yucatan

Sunset Beer Fest Progreso 2026: Craft Beer, Music & Beach Vibes

There is a moment in Puerto Progreso when the afternoon heat begins to soften, the sky turns shades of peach and gold, and everyone settles into the slower rhythm of the coast.

Now add an ice-cold craft beer, live music, good food, and a few friends.

On Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, Sunset Beer Fest will bring two evenings of independent breweries, gastronomy, live bands, and summer energy to Puerto Progreso. Built around one of the coast’s best natural attractions—the sunset—the festival is an easy excuse to leave Mérida behind for the evening and enjoy the beach in a completely different way.

For those of us always looking for new things to do in Yucatán, especially during the summer, this is exactly the kind of coastal event we love seeing on the calendar.

What Is Sunset Beer Fest in Progreso?

Sunset Beer Fest is a two-day craft beer, food, and live music festival taking place beside the Gulf of Mexico in Puerto Progreso.

The event brings together independent breweries, local gastronomy, live bands, and entertainment in a relaxed coastal setting. Rather than focusing only on beer, the festival is designed as a complete evening experience—one where visitors can discover new brews, eat, listen to music, dance, and watch the sun disappear over the water.

The combination feels particularly suited to Progreso.

Only about 40 minutes from Mérida, the port has long been one of our favorite quick escapes when the city feels especially warm. You can spend the afternoon walking along the malecón, enjoy a late seafood lunch, and stay as the beach changes character in the evening.

Sunset Beer Fest gives us another reason not to rush back to Mérida.

Two Evenings of Live Music by the Gulf

Music will be at the center of Sunset Beer Fest, with a different lineup planned for each evening.

Friday, July 31

Friday’s program will feature Muziek Grand Band, along with La QTM, Tudors, Ricky Thyam, Val Hozu, and Gina Osorno.

The lineup creates a full evening of entertainment, giving festivalgoers plenty of time to explore the craft beer selections, find something good to eat, and stay for the music as the evening continues.

Saturday, August 1

Saturday will feature El Fresa y La Sentencia, joined by J&J, Tudors, Imperial Band, and Mojito Nights.

One thing we appreciate about a two-day festival is having the freedom to choose the lineup that best fits your weekend—or simply attend both evenings. Each night offers a different musical experience while keeping the festival centered around beer, food, friends, and the coast.

Discover Independent Craft Breweries

The festival’s Patio Cervecero will bring together a wide selection of independent breweries and craft beer producers.

Participating breweries include La’Hach, Hop 3, Pinillos, Milos Brewery, Esmeralda, Mrs. Ale & Bichola, Happy Paws, The Beer Social Club, Verdina & Lab of Brew, Camino Real, Allende, and Nota Malta.
