Built in 1620, Hacienda Chuntuac is a charming and historic venue with distinctive Moorish-style wooden arches at the entrance, spanning dozens of hectares. Yucatecan family-owned, it is believed that the original owners hailed from Andalusia, Spain, due to the architectural details. Initially used for cattle ranching, the hacienda later joined the henequen boom in the late 1800s, with remnants of this industry still visible throughout the property.

Butterflies fluttered around us, occasionally landing on our shoulders as we explored the hacienda’s historic, serene atmosphere.
