Four days dedicated to the history, flavors and traditions of Mexican cacao and chocolate. The celebration features tastings, workshops, conferences, interactive experiences and opportunities to learn about the chocolate-making process.
Activities will take place at several venues, including Akrópolis, Prime Center, Chedraui Selecto Altabrisa and Centro Cultural Olimpo. Highlights include chocolate-making workshops, tastings and pairings, conferences, and an interactive “Make Your Own Chocolate” experience.

The Yucatán Symphony Orchestra opens its season with a celebration of Mexican orchestral music, conducted by Artistic Director Alfonso Scarano. The program brings together works by some of Mexico’s most important composers, including Silvestre Revueltas’ Sensemayá, Carlos Chávez’s Sinfonía India, Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2 and José Pablo Moncayo’s iconic Huapango.
The concert also features Roberto Abraham’s Navem, Maris et Venti in its world premiere and a contemporary revival of Daniel Ayala’s Sinfonía de las Américas Op. 2.

A concert exploring how great musical works can take on new life through transcription and orchestration. Flutist Joaquín Melo and pianist Carlos Camacho are featured in Francis Poulenc’s celebrated Sonata for Flute and Piano, presented in both its original form and Lennox Berkeley’s version for flute and orchestra.
The program also includes César Franck’s Symphony in D minor, bringing the evening from intimate chamber music to full symphonic sound.
